Giving the physical world
an identity.
KOVA gives physical entities an identity through which they can be reached, interact, and act on their own behalf.
We wanted to redefine identity for physical objects.
The physical world is full of things that belong to us, depend on us, or carry our responsibility.
Yet when something happens around them, those things have no meaningful way to participate in the interaction themselves.
- A vehicle blocking a road.
- A pet that has wandered away.
- An asset that needs attention.
The usual answer is to find the person behind the thing.
KOVA starts somewhere different: with the thing itself.
A vehicle can be identified by a plate. Its owner can be identified through registration. But neither gives the vehicle a way to participate when something happens around it.
KOVA gives the vehicle an identity that can be reached and acted upon.
An identity is useful when it can do something.
KOVA gives a physical entity a KOVA identity. That identity is associated with the appropriate KOVA account and responsible party while remaining distinct from that person's personal identity.
The identity enables capabilities.
Today, communication is one of those capabilities. It is not what KOVA fundamentally is. The identity is the foundation, and future capabilities remain intentionally open-ended.
KOVA enables things to act on their own behalf.
A physical object cannot act by itself. KOVA works behind the scenes to make it possible for the entity to participate and act through its identity. Through identity, capabilities, context, and technologies such as AI, KOVA enables physical entities to participate and act on their own behalf.
Built to enable what comes next.
The core components of the KOVA ecosystem.
KOVA Tag
The physical interface through which an entity can carry its KOVA identity into the real world.
KOVA Connect
Technology that enables connected interactions and communication.
KOVA Assistant
AI-powered intelligence that helps KOVA identities understand context, interact, and act.
One identity. Many possibilities.
KOVA begins by making physical entities reachable in everyday life. Communication is one of the first capabilities that identity enables.
What that identity can enable next is much broader. As KOVA's capabilities evolve, the same identity can enable new ways for physical entities to interact, communicate, receive information, access services, and act.
We don't need to know everything an identity will eventually enable. We need to make the identity possible.
