Adds a second, third, fourth or fifth vehicle to the subscription you are already paying for.
What it is
A KOVA Expansion Kit adds another vehicle to your KOVA account when you already have a subscription. You scan the Activation Card from the box, which activates the included KOVA Essential Tag on your new vehicle.
The Tag in an Expansion Kit is an ordinary KOVA Essential Tag — the same one that comes in every kit. It is the activation that adds the vehicle, not a different kind of Tag.
What you need before you activate
A KOVA Expansion Kit does not start or renew a subscription. Two things must already be true:
- —Your account has an active KOVA subscription.
- —Your account has fewer than 5 vehicles.
If your subscription has lapsed, renew it first. If you already have 5 vehicles, you cannot activate the Tag at all — 5 is the cap on a KOVA Essential subscription. There are no pre-created vehicle slots waiting to be filled; the activation is what creates the vehicle.

Carries the QR code that opens your activation page.

Explains what to do.
Cleaning Swab
Wipes the spot down before the Tag goes on, so it sticks properly.
What happens when you activate
You scan the Activation Card from the box.
You sign in to your existing KOVA account.
You enter your new vehicle's details.
You complete the activation, and the KOVA Essential Tag goes live on that vehicle.
A new vehicle card appears on your dashboard, on your existing subscription.
Where to get one
On Amazon and in the KOVA Store
Once the order is paid for, you can set the vehicle up straight awayfrom your order history: enter the new vehicle's make, model, colour, registration and year, and it appears on your dashboard marked “Awaiting tag”. When the box arrives you stick the Tag on — there is nothing to fill in and no card to scan. It is offered any time before the kit is delivered, never during checkout, so an order nobody paid for never leaves a half-made vehicle behind. A vehicle set up this way uses one of your 5 slots from that moment.
Not the kit you need?
If the Tag on a vehicle you already have is lost, torn or damaged, you do not need an Expansion Kit — a KOVA Replacement Kit puts a new Tag on that same vehicle and does not count against your 5-vehicle cap. If you are new to KOVA and have no subscription yet, start with a KOVA Welcome Kit.
